Too far gone.
Is that how you feel? Life has bashed you around so much not even God would want you? So much filth clings to your past that no one could ever clean you up?
In 2020, the story came out about a 1971 Lamborghini Miura that was found in pieces … completely dissembled and in very poor condition … in a warehouse in Brazil. Even so, an American investment group was willing and agreed to pay $2 million for the bits and bobs that used to be the Miura.
When they arrived at the warehouse, all they found was junk. The recognizable parts of the car looked like they had been submerged in a swamp.
They agreed to purchase it anyway. No filth was too much to decrease the potential value of the historic car.
We read of the woman caught in adultery in John 8:2-4.
“At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group and said to Jesus, ‘Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery.’ ”
Did Jesus have a bad word to say about her? No. Read in Verse 7.
“He straightened up and said to them, ‘Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.’ ”
No matter where you are at, your life can be redeemed. Jesus holds out his hand. He says, “Come.” You wear no stains too deep for Jesus to wash away.
Now is your time for your fresh start. Come to Jesus today.
