What tied you down before you found Christ?
Cast it off! Jesus says you are free!
What shackles kept you immobilized when you were in sin?
They are broken! You don’t wear them anymore!
What fears had you shaking in the darkness?
Set free, set free! You are set free through the power of the cross!
Romans 8:15 is your shout of victory. You are no longer under bondage to what once held you down.
“For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons [and daughters], by whom we cry, ‘Abba! Father!’ ”
Let’s repeat that. Fear is slavery. We are no longer slaves to sin, but the sons and daughters of the almighty God!
That should make you want to stand up and cheer. In fact, do it now!
“Abba! Father! You are my strength and deliverance! I am free in YOU!”
That’s the Christian motto. That’s what Jesus gives to you. That’s why he brought you salvation through his sacrifice on the cross.
Accept it. Live in it. Make it yours.
Be the Christian Jesus meant you to be!
Salvation changes everything. We must never allow ourselves to fall back into what we’ve been released from.
We walk forward in Christ, and we never, never look back. That old song rings true when we sing, “Onward Christian soldiers.”
Face forward. For Christ. On to victory!
