Our eyes are magnificent machines.
They can focus faster than we can blink, and to see in the dark? We very nearly can, if we just close our eyes and let them adjust.
It’s the brilliance of day that we enjoy most. If we stay trapped in the dark, life will grind us down.
God wants us to burst forth into his brilliance. He wants us to see him, to bask in his magnificent glory, and to know him for who he really is.
We become totally new when we choose God. Our life is nothing like before.
2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us there’s none of the old self left.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
1 Peter 1:3 says our living hope comes through the resurrection of Christ from the dead.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
Luke 7:47 confirms what any Christian knows: The lower we started, the higher Jesus lifts us up.
“Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven—for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little.”
Jesus is the light of this world. He came with his hand extended, and he invites you and me to walk with him.
When we do, we step into the light, and our world is forever changed.
Choose Jesus. He will brighten every morning and carry you though every day.
