The Maker of Our Salvation

English Audio Version

Buying a car repaired after an accident is a chancy thing.

Who did the repairs? Did they use factory replacement parts?

Or did they opt for cheaper lookalikes, ones that would look good for awhile but wouldn’t stand the test of time?

That’s why severe accidents brand a rebuilt or reconditioned title to go with the car. It signals us to look more closely, to see what’s underneath the paint, what parts were used, and decide if they’ll hold up or not.

Many times, cars are returned to perfection, if the replacement parts were of the best quality. If not, we’re taking our chances.

Mankind’s search for spiritual fulfillment needs the same sort of inspection. At one time, mankind was perfect and new. Then the Garden was no more, Eden rejected, and we were cast out, branded as less than perfect.

We needed to be rebuilt into something that would function properly once more.

1 Samuel 25:35 reveals an archetype of our Savior.

“Go up in peace to your house. See, I have obeyed your voice, and I have granted your petition.”

When we come before God, admitting our broken nature, and we allow him to work in our lives, we become new once again. The Lord reaches out to us, and using original manufacturer’s parts, he recreates the perfection we once knew, and we become faultless in him.

Has your life come apart around you?

Are your relationships failing?

Does addiction shadow your doorstep?

Are your finances hounding you daily?

Petition the Lord. He’s the Maker of your Salvation, and he wants to undo your fallen condition and return you to the perfection you once knew.

There’s no chance of error when we let the Lord remake who we are.
