Our Jesus Answer

―  Also find us at www.MyChurchNotes.com  ―

Mankind is made to question.

It’s how we advance in science and technology. It’s the way we progress in medicine and in knowledge of the universe. Does it really do us any good to know how many planets surround stars umpteen light years away? We’re never going to visit them.

The answer is in the answer. We want to know just to know. We’re made to question, and we’re driven to find the answers.

Paul places his question before us in Romans 7:24.

“O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death?”

Paul understood this: Any believer who tries to find fulfillment outside the truth of Christ will only find disappointment, which will lead to spiritual death. Paul opens the answer to his question with the first word of his second sentence: Who?

In the Greek text, Paul’s word is masculine, indicating a particular person. In that one word is revealed the path to our help, the revelation of our victory, and the finger of God pointing to the cross and to Christ our Lord.

We advance in knowlege and learning when we look to Christ for spiritual revelations. There is none other than him that can satisfy.

Man may question, and he should. Jesus has the answer, and he will. When we choose to listen, we’ll find the truth of his salvation can be ours.
