Let’s jump right into our three salvations.
They all come from the Book of Psalms, one right after the other.
This is important. When God stacks his promises one upon another, they become stronger in tandem than they could ever be individually.
It’s like a ruler. One, and you can break it over your knee. Three? Not so easy. They’ve found strength in each other.
Psalm 34:18-20 gives us our three-layered promise of salvation.
Verse 18 tells us God notices when we are brokenhearted.
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”
He will be there for us when we feel we can walk no farther.
Verse 19 says we will endure rough times, even as we live for the Lord.
“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”
We have a supply chain of relief. God is our deliverer.
Verse 20 promises we will be protected from harm.
“He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken.”
Satan can batter us spiritually, but he cannot break through God’s armor.
Look at these promises in terms of Nomex or Kevlar. Wrap in one layer, and you’ve got a good chance of surviving. The more you wrap in, the more protected you are. Put on three, and nothing can get through to you.
You are a child of the holy God. All his protection is yours. Claim his promises, and the devil will never be able to hurt you.
God is our salvation, and we can trust his protecting hand.
