Challenges are good for us.
It just doesn’t always feel that way. We are challenged by the lack of money, emotional turmoil, or job prospects that never seem to pan out.
Then there are pesky house repairs, troublesome co-workers, and the gophers that dig in our yard.
“Power,” you ask . . . “What power do I have? My life is constantly falling apart.”
You need to find your goal. Keep it in your sights. It’s like the little engine that could. If you say you can, you will know you can, and you will reach the top of the mountain that blocks your success.
Our power to master every challenge standing before us comes from the Lord.
Mark 10:27 tells us not to depend on our strength. We have a bigger champion who will carry us through.
“Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.’ ”
Philippians 1:6 tells us that God will fulfill his promises to us. The hopes and dreams he placed in us will be completed in him.
“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”
Psalm 37:23-24 tells us not to worry. Life’s potholes might catch us by surprise, but the Lord will lift us to a safe footing every time.
“The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way; though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand.”
Let’s review our three verses so we don’t forget what God’s telling us.
- We have a champion that’s bigger than us.
- God’s promises to us are yes and amen.
- Our footsteps are established by the Lord.
That’s power we can count on! All challenges accepted and conquered! Let’s lift our hands and praise God today.
When we trust in God, every worry is cast aside.
