Our Power Burst

English Audio Version

Power is an important part of our modern infrastructure.

From medical devices to food storage to pumping our water to our homes, we can’t afford to let our power fail.

At night, when the storms blow in, and our machines are stilled, the silence can be ominous, as we ask ourselves if the darkness will ever end.

The latest in battery technology allows us to store a massive amount of electricity to get us through the times when the storm takes out the power. We can get a power burst from our reserves to enable us to survive.

What’s our spiritual power burst? How do we survive the times when it seems our spiritual power runs low?

Isaiah 40:29-31 gives us our answer in four supercharged bursts of divine truth.

“He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.”

God is our source of renewal in the dark of the storm. We might not sense the morning coming, but God sees the light.

“Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted;”

No matter how great the problems that batter us, or how strong the winds, God’s power remains connected to us at all times.

“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles;”

Our battery pack is mounted on our wall, in our car, and at our place of employment. It’s called prayer, and we can access it anywhere.

“They shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

When we plug into God, the energy will flow. We’ll know no end to our strength, because it comes straight from the source.

God is our power source, and in him, we will find a burst of strength to make it through the night.

If something leads us astray, toss it aside and leave it on the side of the road.
