Our reality is not God’s.
Seriously. What we view as impossible circumstances are mere lines in the sand to God.
Visit the Great Wall of China. It was constructed centuries ago to set a boundary which the uncivilized hoards couldn’t cross.
It was impossible to pass. The bad guys simply couldn’t manage the massive structure. They came against it and were stopped in their tracks.
Yet, look at an image of the Great Wall as seen from space. We can see it, sure, but it’s little more than a squiggle on the face of the earth. One side looks very much like the other.
Just step over, or so it seems. In that light, how small our circumstances must seem to God.
Understand this: God has already seen the other side of every situation. He knows what’s on the other side of our problems. No matter how large, how insurmountable, he’s already there waiting for us to join him.
He has the victory flag in his hand just waiting to offer it to us.
1 John 5:4 reveals the truth of our fight.
“For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.”
God hears our prayers, and he understands that we see the Great Wall of Decimation looming before us, but he observes something we are blinded to, that we can bound over every situation with the help of his mighty hand.
Our victory comes through our faith, and our faith comes through our commitment to Christ, the embodiment of our rescue and our redemption.
