So, who hasn’t been to the grocery store and wanted to take it all home?
We can’t put everything into our basket. We’d have no room. Some people select canned pineapple, others want fresh milk, and there are those who head only to the produce department. That’s all they need to buy.
Our selections change with every visit. Some trips we might go for fizzy sodas, and on other days, it’s all about the meat. All the products in the store are there for our perusal, but we don’t need to buy every one, not at the same time.
Timothy 3:16 tells us the Bible is our source of sustenance, always there when we need it.
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.”
We can shop the aisles of the Bible at our leisure. We don’t have to spend all our time in Romans or Acts, or even in Revelation. Psalms provides good substance, and we can’t go wrong with Proverbs or Isaiah. Genesis is chock full of goodness, and the Book of the Kings gives us wonderful tales of God’s power against those who tried to defeat the warriors of the Lord.
Every word of the Bible is breathed out by God.
Each is profitable for teaching.
All are useful for reproof.
They are great for correction.
We can use them daily for training in righteousness.
There’s no part of the Bible that deserves to be forgotten. Let’s study it all.
