The Capable Christian

English Audio Version

Let’s make life easier.

Simpler.

Not as much trouble.

Let’s take the most troublesome concept in Christian living and toss it on the trash heap.

It’s that two-word phrase I can’t.

It might be only two words, but it’s so much more. It’s the concept that the devil can defeat the mighty Warrior of the Throne of God.

Philippians 4:13 tells us the truth of who we are:

“I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”

We are not now, nor will we ever be defeated, when Jesus walks at our side.

Philippians doesn’t say we can do most things, or that we can try all things, or that some of us will be able to do all things.

Not even close.

Read it again. I can do ALL things through HIM who STRENGTHENS ME.

Have we got it now? Is it in our head? Do we truly believe it?

We become a capable Christian when we internalize the truth of the Word, speak it in our daily life, and believe that our Father God will follow through on the promises he’s given unto us.

Our power flows from the Creator, and in him, we are never defeated.
