God desires to banish your sadness. He wishes for you to find comfort in him.
Here are 7 Comforts for Those Who Are Lonely.
John 14:18 says:
“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.”
Isaiah 58:9 says:
“Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; you shall cry, and he will say, ‘Here I am.’ ”
Isaiah 43:4 says:
“Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you, I give men in return for you, peoples in exchange for your life.”
2 Corinthians 6:18 says:
“I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.”
Genesis 28:15 says:
“Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land. For I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”
Colossians 2:10 says:
“You have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority.”
Psalm 40:17 says:
“As for me, I am poor and needy, but the Lord takes thought for me. You are my help and my deliverer; do not delay, O my God!”
Here are some steps God wants you to take.
1. Find somewhere to volunteer. Perhaps teach a class on Sunday morning.
2. Get involved in a group. You need people that expect you to show up.
3. Refuse to stay at home no matter how bad you feel. Call someone. Meet for lunch, to walk in the park, or to take a turn about the mall.
4. Let others into your life. Don’t shut them out. They will help you step out of your shadows and into the light of day.
It’s your time to shine, and you can be successful through the help of God.
