Is success in your plans?
Are you prepared for your prayers to be answered?
Are you ready to step up to your God-infused future where you are delivered from lack?
God gives us 2 Steps to Answered Prayer through the biblical promises in his Word!
Mark 11:24 speaks to us with the authority of the Master, the words of his lips, and the authority of his God-given mission to humanity.
“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
This one sentence, out of all the promises in the Bible, covers every need we might encounter. Emotional emptiness. Financial stress. Shelter. Transportation. Putting meals on the table.
Each of these and all of these are covered in Mark 11:24.
Here are our 2 Steps to Answered Prayer:
Step No. 1 to Answered Prayer:
“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer …”
Three key words stand out in this part of the verse:
1. Whatever
This word is important because it opens the vaults of heaven. We don’t have to pick and choose. Whatever means that if we ask it of the Father, this verse applies.
2. Ask
We must present our need before God. Tell him what we require of him. Lay it out exactly and precisely.
3. Prayer
Prayer is conversation with the Father. Talking to God … and giving him the opportunity to talk back to us. How? A feeling, an impulse, reading the Word of God.
Step No. 2 to Answered Prayer:
“… believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
One word from this part of the scripture stands out above all the rest: Believe.
Merriam-Webster says it like this: to accept as true or real.
So, let’s restate Mark 11:24 using what we’ve learned today.
“Whatever you ask in prayer has become real.”
In our Lord, there is no lack or emptiness when we ask in prayer and believe the answer is ours.
