4 Prayer Milestones

English Audio Version

Milestones are markers along our journey.

Birth. Death. In between, we have the first day of school, graduation, our first love, and the birth of our children.

Each marker is significant, something we can look back on and track how far we’ve come in life.

Here are 4 Prayer Milestones that mark God’s faithfulness in our lives.

Prayer Milestone No. 1:

Proverbs 15:29 says his answers to us reflect the purity of our lives.

“The Lord is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous.”

Prayer Milestone No. 2:

Psalm 65:2 tells us that our worshipful attitude is connected to God’s attentiveness to our prayers.

“O you who hear prayer, to you shall all flesh come.”

Prayer Milestone No. 3:

Psalm 34:17 says our troubles are of no effect when we cry unto God with a clean heart.

“When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.”

Prayer Milestone No. 4:

Matthew 7:11 emphasizes the blessings that God wants to shower upon his children when we go to him in prayer.

“If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!”

When we establish our prayer milestones, we can return to them again and again. In our low times, we will be reminded that God is our deliverer, and in our success, we will lift our praises unto him.

God is the source of our success, and our victories point our way unto him.
