God on the Line

English Audio Version

A man said he realized he was old when his grandson asked why he always said to “hang up the phone.”

Smart phones simply disconnect.

Another youth visited a friend’s cabin in the mountains and couldn’t get a signal with his smart phone. He didn’t use the land line because he thought the phones were out of order.

He was hearing a dial tone for the first time.

God says he is connected to you. There’s no handset, no cell signal, no dial tone needed.

John 14:13-14 tells how our call gets through.

“Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.”

What’s our phone? Prayer.

How do we connect? On our knees.

What do we ask? ANYTHING IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

Why does this work every time?  So that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Go on. Get connected. God is on the line, and he’s waiting for your call today.
