One Degree to a Beautiful Christmas

Winter.

Christmas ... and all the family trauma that can bring it crashing down.

Here's a story for you. A minister was headed up north with his young family for the Christmas season. He'd told his children about the white Christmases he remembered so fondly, but on the drive, spitting rain turned the landscape brown and muddy, with the temperatures hovering just above freezing.

Then, during the night, the weather dropped that one degree, and snow covered everything. What had been depressing and dreary turned into a beautiful Christmas morning.

Was the mud and dreary landscape still there? It hadn't gone away, but that one degree made all the difference in how it appeared.

If you're struggling this Christmas, remember that one degree can make all the difference between dreary and delightful. Find the good. Focus on it, and this Christmas can be the best one you've ever had.

"Forgive each other. As the Lord forgave you, so also forgive each other.” - Colossians 3:13b

Merry Christmas, Everyone!
