Thanksgiving is here. Today is a travel day for many people, and tomorrow we will gather with our family and friends.
Over the course of several centuries, the American holiday has become a time of family togetherness and a time of shifting our awareness into the Christmas season.
Let's keep this verse in mind:
Proverbs 17:17 - "Friends love all the time, and kinsfolk are born [to help in] times of trouble."
Whatever you're wrestling with this year, let your family and friends be the tree branch for your swing, the foundation for your wall, and the source of lifegiving water.
And above all, let Christ be the solid rock on which you stand, the anchor to which you cling, and the future to which you aspire.
Happy Thanksgiving, All!
