Our Foundation in Christ

Do not let a failure shake your foundation.”

(Matthew 7:24 ESV)

Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

Rock is one of the strongest building materials we have.

Wood will rot away within a generation. Plaster, asphalt, and cement are poor substitutes.

When we want a building to stand forever, we dig to bedrock to set our foundation. Then storms or floods cannot bring it down.

Our moral fiber is our stone underpinning. We build our foundation from the Word of God. Then when failures dog our path, we will have the rock that is Christ for our firm footing. Our foundation will be in Him, for we’ve placed our trust in our Lord.

Wisdom breeds success, and our wisest move is to base our moral fiber on the teachings of Christ. We’ll find our fortitude in Him, and we’ll move closer to success every day.

Excerpt of the Day

Disbelief is fine. Refusing to move past it when confronted with the truth cuts God to the quick.
