Climbing Our Ladder

English Audio Version

We see success as something to achieve.

It’s a ladder we must climb. The top is where we want to be.

It’s the elevated position in the clouds that allows us to survey the path we’ve traveled to reach the pinnacle of what’s possible.

Is there any guarantee to aid us in our travels to the top?

Deuteronomy 8:18 tells us there is.

“You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day.”

Every rung of our ladder is based on the covenant of God. He blesses us with wealth and success to prove his promises are complete and true.

If we forget about him and see ourselves as the source of our upward mobility, we’ve failed to grasp what our relationship with the Lord is about.

1. It’s God that gives us power to get wealth.

2. He does it to remind us he loves us and to seal and confirm his promise of salvation.

3. He wants us to acknowledge him as the source of our success.

When God enables us to start up our ladder of success, let’s not leave him on the bottom rung. Let’s make room for him all along the way.

Our success comes from God, and all the praise goes to him.

Excerpt of the Day

If something leads us astray, toss it aside and leave it on the side of the road.
