3 New Testament Victories for You

English Audio Version

There’s no better thing than to be a winner.

First place commands all the respect.

To finish in second place is never what we want. It’s a disappointment that forces us to put on a bright face to encourage the winner.

As Christians, Jesus promises us a first-place finish.

Second is not even in our vocabulary. The New Testament gives us our victory cry that tells us so.

1 Peter 5:6-7 tells us God will place us on the victory podium.

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.”

Underline the middle of this passage so that it sticks with you. He will exalt you. You! God will exalt YOU.

John 16:33 tells us that Jesus proved the victory can be ours.

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

You read that right. Jesus has overcome the world. He has placed us above our problems, and there is no obstacle that can prevent us from achieving every goal in him.

Romans 8:38-39 tells us we are one with the victorious King.

“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Nothing, nothing can separate us from the love of God. Jesus already presides on the victory stand, and we are at his side. Our victory in him is guaranteed.

Our victory parade is at hand. Let’s march for Jesus. Let’s lift our legs high, raise our flag, and find our pride in the Christ who gave his life for us.

Christ is our example, and he lifts us to victory in his name.
