Our SEA God

As vast as the continents on our world are, they pale in comparison to the SEA. The oceans of this world stretch for three times the distance of the land, and they plunge deeper than the highest mountains we can climb. The resources of the sea are so fantastic as to seem without end.

That is just like our God. He reaches far and above anything we can know, and his bounty is without end. There is no greater resource than the Father in heaven.

Let’s look at our SEA God:

S – His STOREHOUSES are laid up for us, that we might have access to all the good things in his creation.

Psalm 33:7 tells us that “He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in STOREHOUSES.”

All the things on this earth are his, and as deep as the oceans are is how much he accumulates for our benefit.

E – He ENRICHES all the world with the sea’s bounty.

Psalm 65:9 describes how God spreads his blessings over the whole of the earth. “Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly ENRICHEST it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.”

Without the oceans of this world, there would be little rainfall on the dry land. It is through the salt nuclei from the ocean spray and evaporation of surface water that the nourishing rains bring life to the dry continents.

A – He ANOINTS us with the joy of his creation, that we might find fulfillment in him.

Psalm 45:7 assures us that God rewards us for our dedication to him. This verse tells us that “Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath ANOINTED thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.”

All of the world’s abundance is God’s, and he does with it as he will. What is his will? He wishes those that love the right and hate the wrong to be glad in him. There can be no greater gift than that.

When we follow after the God of all creation, we need have no fear that we will run out of his good things. After all, he created them all, and he who created everything can never run short of what resides in the palm of his hand.

God’s blessings fill the entire earth, and there is no end to what he can do for us.
