What’s got you bothered?
What keeps you awake at night and makes your eyes burn when the sun bursts through your window?
What’s the heavy load you think you can hardly bear another day?
To point you the right direction, let’s look at a what and why. The cause and the action. The “thing” we can do, and the “why” we want to do it. This is a “what and why” that will make all the difference in your happiness … contentment … joy in your life.
1 Peter 5:7 reveals the path to a brighter sunrise:
“Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.”
Did you see the “thing” you should do if your life keeps you awake at night?
What about the “why,” or the reason it works every time?
It’s a short verse, and these are easy to see, but it has a greater impact when we break it down.
The What (or the Thing):
Cast all your anxieties on him. Give Jesus your troubles. Quit worrying about them, like, this very minute.
The Why It Works:
God cares for you. His Son, Jesus, came to Earth to earn salvation for you with his very life.
How about that level of love?
Give your troubles to God. He’s ready to give you rest today. A brighter sunrise is on the way.
