God’s Light Switch

English Audio Version

Past generations knew what it was to endure darkness.

When the sun went down, life stopped. You had the light from a fire if it was winter, candles if you were lucky.

Otherwise, sunset, lights out, life out.

Might as well head to bed, nothing left to be said.

Now, it’s as simple as locating the light switch.

What? No light when we flip the switch? Is the bulb out, or did someone forget to pay the bill? No light . . . it simply won’t do!

How, then, do we have so much trouble figuring out why there are so many problems in the world?

Blame here, blame there. If you would fix this . . . if I could say this . . . it’s all your fault!

God’s light switch is waiting on us. Our job is to flip it, light up the world, and bring on the changes.

Psalm 119:130 says:

“The unfolding of your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple.”

Struggling with belief in God? John 3:16.

With charity and giving? Proverbs 19:17.

Children running wild? Acts 16:31.

Feeling sad? 2 Corinthians 1:5.

Need courage? Psalm 31:24.

Plagued by envy? Deuteronomy 5:21.

Has hope fled? 1 Peter 1:21.

The unfolding of God’s words gives light. The Bible is the light switch for spiritual understanding.

Open the Word. Change your outlook today.
