What is life?
As in, what do you need for life? What do you have to have to make life worth the effort of getting up and facing each day?
We could say a big house and a shiny car, but that can’t be it. There are people with those that mangle their lives in despair.
How about being a part of the social scene? That’s great until you go home and leave the party behind. You have nothing left, not even your “friends.”
Here’s what you must have, the things that if they are taken away, you’ll give up anything to get them back again.
1. Food. A starving person cares about nothing except their next bite of bread.
2. Water. Thirst will drive people to desperation, even trigger hallucinations and drive them mad.
3. Health. Any amount of money to cure our body seems worth it. People will give up everything to remove the pain.
Let’s look to Exodus 23:25 to see God’s process to ensure we have these things.
“You shall serve the Lord your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from among you.”
Jeremiah 30:17 reaffirms God’s promise from Exodus:
“For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord . . .”
The compassion of Christ is all over you. Come to Jesus, accept his salvation, and he will provide for you.
Food. Water. Health. These are your guarantee when you choose him.
You are taken care of when you walk with Jesus at your side.
