You Will Be Rewarded

English Audio Version

Has your boss demanded you volunteer for extra duties at work?

Are you frustrated that no one else will volunteer to do the lawn?

You are always running the washer, fueling the car, and working in grocery store runs, while everyone else seems to be at the mall or playing a video game.

Then an online client emails you for an urgent revision to a report just before you head out for lunch with your spouse.

When can you choose to disregard the extra duties and take time out for yourself?

God says your time is coming. Have patience, and your reward will surround you. You will be enveloped in the peace of God, and you will never know another troubled day.

Jeremiah 31:12 says your time of rest in God is on the way.

“They shall come and sing aloud on the height of Zion, and they shall be radiant over the goodness of the Lord, over the grain, the wine, and the oil, and over the young of the flock and the herd; their life shall be like a watered garden, and they shall languish no more.”

You will sing with joy at the coming of the Lord.

Your face will be radiant with the glory of your coming King.

Life will be coming up roses.

Your tired limbs and lack of sleep? Banished to the darkness, never to be seen again.

Your job is to hang in there. Find small moments of rest. Share the workload. Admit that some things don’t have to be done to perfection. Someone else will eventually get around to it if you can’t. Trust me, they will.

God is your rest and reward. Never forget to take out time for him.
