God Wants to Be Good to You

English Audio Version

The Universe is a grand and glorious creation.

It’s bigger than we can imagine.

We’re only now uncovering the massive depths of stars in our field of vision. The well-known Hubble telescope has revealed an estimated 100 billion galaxies, and that’s only the start.

New telescope technology is likely to reveal twice that many. That’s 200 billion galaxies.

We can’t even guess the number of stars involved. The total is too large to comprehend.

Yet – and this is a big one – the Creator of the cosmos found his way to Earth to bless his creation with the gift of his Son.

How do we know God still loves us after 2,000 years have passed? The Bible reveals three verses that tell us he still wants to be good to us.

Psalm 103:13 says God looks at us with kindness and love in his gaze.

“As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.”

Exodus 33:19 says the Father forgives our stumbling attempts to follow him and lifts us up.

“And [the Lord] said, ‘I will make all my goodness pass before you and will proclaim before you my name “The Lord.” And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.’ ”

Isaiah 48:9 says our Redeemer will never cast us aside for better followers or more dedicated adherents to his name.

“For my name’s sake I defer my anger; for the sake of my praise I restrain it for you, that I may not cut you off.”

Write these on a sticky note and put it on your mirror, slip it in your wallet, and keep a copy in your car. Look at it often. It’s your reminder that you are loved by the Creator of the Cosmos.

Here’s God’s love verses summarized for your sticky note.

1. God has a soft spot for you.

2. God rolls out his carpet of goodness for you.

3. God claims you permanently, without end, full stop.

Put your trust in the Father. He will return your faith with whole-hearted love.
