4 Good Words from John

English Audio Version

John was a close friend of Jesus.

He was one of the four musketeers, the four pinnacles of the modern church, the men who were Christ’s closest associates and who wrote the Master’s story and turned it into the four gospels.

Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

We revere them as the source of much of the New Testament’s truths. These men knew, walked with, and learned to trust in our Lord.

Jesus touched their hearts, spoke into their ears, ate with them, and traveled the dusty roads of the ancient world at their side.

When John speaks to us from the fourth gospel, we are hearing the words of Christ from his lips to John’s ears to the Bible and directly to us.

Our 1st Good Word:

John 14:23 tells us:

“Jesus answered him, ‘If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.’ ”

Our 2nd Good Word:

John 13:17 says:

“If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.”

Our 3rd Good Word:

John 15:10 instructs us:

“If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.”

Our 4th Good Word:

John 5:24 promises:

“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.”

These are the words of the Master. They may flow through John, but the man was there. He walked with Jesus, learned from him, and we can take John’s words at face value.

John shares truth with us. We are loved. We are loved. We are loved. We are loved.

That’s straight from the mouth of Jesus.

When we need a boost in our spiritual strength, the book of John is our source of power and encouragement. Let’s break out the Bible and read it today.

We become stronger when we spend time in the Word.
