The Enemy Is Defeated

English Audio Version

So, the cat got your tongue?

You feel you can’t speak your faith?

The world is hovering over you, and the dark clouds threaten to overwhelm you?

Stop thinking that way! God is your salvation. He is your rescue. He has defeated the enemy, and you are a victor in him.

What do you think the cross was all about? Did Jesus lose the battle with the evil one? Absolutely not!

Here are four verses to lift your spirits, to get you supercharged, and to reestablish your overcoming life through Christ your Savior.

Deuteronomy 28:7 says:

“The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before you. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.”

Psalm 27:5-6 tells us:

“For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock. And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me, and I will offer in his tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and make melody to the Lord.”

Luke 18:17 promises:

“Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.”

Isaiah 54:17 assures us:

“No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.”

It’s time for you to act like the warrior you are. Jesus is your champion. God is your shield. The Word is your sword. The Holy Spirit has you covered on every side.

Defeat isn’t in your vocabulary when you march forward with Jesus at your side.

Lift a cheer of victory, for in the Lord, it’s already yours.
