Children need a hand up every now and then.
A curb is too tall, or the shelf is just out of reach. It doesn’t take much, just that little bit to get them over the frustrating part.
As they get older, a suggestion on a difficult math problem, teaching that first dance step, or a hesitant time in the car behind the wheel for the first time.
As parents, we want to be there. We want our child to be successful no matter what it takes.
That’s how God sees us.
Here are 5 Helps from Psalms to get you through the day.
Psalm 37:39 says he holds our hand during our troubled times.
“The salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; he is their stronghold in the time of trouble.”
Psalm 146:8 tells us he is moved to compassion by our humble nature.
“The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous.”
Psalm 37:24 promises he will pick us up when we stumble.
“Though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand.”
Psalm 32:7 assures us deliverance is ours.
“You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with shouts of deliverance.”
Psalm 71:20 is our guarantee we will not be on the losing end for long.
“You who have made me see many troubles and calamities will revive me again; from the depths of the earth you will bring me up again.”
God is a good Father. He treasures us. He desires our lives to be the best they can be.
He wants us to trust in him, and his help will be ours.
In every type of problem, turn to God for your salvation.
