5 Thoughts to Keep You Safe on Life’s Road

English Audio Version

Travel can be a strenuous affair.

Who knows if the airplane will land on time, and what if we can’t catch our connection?

Will our hotel reservation be lost in the shuffle?

And what about our rental car? Will insurance cover us if we have a wreck?

We need to quit worrying, because our God is in control.

Psalm 121:7-8 tells us our safety is assured now and forever.

“The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.”

Proverbs 16:9 assures us we can’t make a wrong step when we walk with God.

“The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.”

Psalm 23:3-4 says we don’t need to be afraid.

“He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”

Mark 16:15 reminds us to not forget our fellow travelers.

“And he said to them, ‘Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.’ ”

Psalm 119:105 promises God is with us all the way.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

We never travel alone when we carry God with us. He is our constant companion and our joy in our time of fear.

Put God in your travel plans, and you’ll be successful every time.
