The amount of effort it takes to get things done can overwhelm us.
By the time we get the kids out the door… get the car to the shop… or organize the fundraiser at school, we’re out of energy. For others, it’s the Sunday school lesson each week, the deal we must close at work, or a marriage that’s stressed beyond repair.
We feel we can no longer go it alone.
Isaiah 40:31 tells us we don’t have to.
“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”
Our part is to start each day, each activity, each moment with God in mind. Find room for him. Put him first.
No matter what we must put off, if we first find room for God, we’ll have more energy and time for everything else. We’ll organize our time better, have an improved outlook, and be prepared for success.
God is truly our strength, when we allow him to come first in everything we do.
