Great Is His Faithfulness

English Audio Version

The shifting sands scare us.

We can deal with disaster, as long as we know the bottom isn’t too deep. Bad things can crash into us, and if we can see the end of it, we can hold on until things begin to come around.

In the unknown is where we find our hope in God. He has all things under his control. When the evil one brings the wrecking ball against our plans, God is still there, making his holy magnificence out of the devil’s mischief.

Jeremiah 29:11 says we are never forgotten in the designs of God.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Hebrews 13:8 assures us we can depend on him as the sunrise comes over the horizon and the stars shine in the sky.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”

2 Peter 3:9 lets us know that his promises don’t fade or evaporate; he doesn’t withdraw his love from us.

“The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.”

Lamentations 3:22-23 elevates his concern for us, for he looks out for his children on a daily basis.

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

2 Corinthians 12:9 is our promise that our success isn’t dependent on us, but is found in Christ, to whom we owe all honor, power, and glory.

“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

When we step out on Jesus, we place our feet on the Rock of Judah, the Eternal Stone, and the Unmovable Stair that will lead us to success in him.
