Our Frown Turned Upside Down

So, the rain is falling again.

We feel the frown on our forehead coming on.

The gathering clouds may be ones of finances, relationships, or spiritual struggles. We can repeat all the promise verses we want, but the rain feels just as cold.

We step out to head to work, and our feet are instantly wet. The blowing rain whips inside our car before we can close the door. Even our lunch … oh, my word, my sandwich is soaked!

Can the day get any worse? The phone call from the doctor … the car repair shop … our children’s school … and the rain grows heavier by the hour.

So does our heart … and our frown.

God says, “Let me turn that frown upside down!”

Joshua 1:9 tells us:

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

God is our raincoat, our galoshes, our umbrella, and our parking garage. He shields us from the downpour that tries to inundate our peace and choke our relationship with the Father.

When we trust in God, our frown can be turned upside down even in the rainy moments of life.

When finances come against you, remember that God is with you!

Relationships may go sour, but God is with you!

Spiritual struggles are not a defeat but a time to take the hand of God and find your smile in him!

Remember, God is always with you wherever you go!
