Why are you at the back of the crowd?
God says you are his champion through Christ, his Son.
Why are your finances lagging further and further behind?
God says you are assured of success in him.
Why does every relationship siphon down the drain, leaving you high and dry?
God says to stop it! He has a plan to advance you to better things!
Let’s look at God’s plan in Proverbs 28:25-26:
“A greedy man stirs up strife, but the one who trusts in the Lord will be enriched. Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered.”
These two verses first define the problem, then they offer a solution.
Our First Problem:
If we’re greedy, oh, no! We’re causing ourselves problems. Toss out the greed!
Our First Solution:
When we trust in the Lord, we will be advanced into success. We will be enriched in all that we do.
Our Second Problem:
If we trust in our own mind, we are lost already! We will stumble in the dark, banging our head against every tree.
Our Second Solution:
Our wisdom comes from God. The Creator is able to see what we can’t, and he can direct us safely amidst the troubles that come our way.
To sum up God’s plan for our advancement, we must do two things:
1. Trust in God for guidance in every situation.
2. Walk according to the Wisdom of the Lord.
You’re getting it. When you move deeper into God, he recognizes your commitment to him and initiates his plan for your success.
