2 Impacts from Trusting God

English Audio Version

What’s our purpose in serving God?

How does our belief in a higher power impact our lives?

How will we change when we come to salvation through the cross and blood of Jesus?

Our Christian walk can’t be all about fine cars, tony houses, and the bling the world likes to scatter about.

Our calling in Christ must be something more.

1 Timothy 4:9-10 reveals 2 impacts we must brace for when we place our trust in God.

“The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance. For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.”

The boldface is not in the original, but these are the two words we want to look at today.

Impact No. 1:

God expects us to be on the job for him. Toil means to exert ourselves in labor, to work daily at a task, to become involved and to take responsibility to see our job through.

Impact No. 2:

To strive involves conflict. We will face opposition in our Christian walk, and we must resolve to hit it head on. We can’t sidestep the message of truth found in the Word.

If your faith is only Sunday deep, it’s time to broaden your outlook. Jesus wants you to live for him seven days a week.

Jesus will carry us through, but the journey is ours to begin.
