Weak knees can decimate an athlete.
Former Patriots running back Robert Edwards was a rising star before his knee injury decimated his career.
Chicago Bulls Derrick Rose, 26, underwent surgery for his knee in 2015, and fans feared he’d never regain his outstanding form.
Christians are spiritual athletes, and our walk with the Father requires us to be constantly in the best shape possible. We have goals to reach, plays to complete, and often our touchdown seems unimaginably far away.
Our strength of body and limb flows from our faith in our Lord.
Proverbs 3:23 reveals the compassion and security that comes from above:
“Then you will walk on your way securely, and your foot will not stumble.”
We build our spiritual muscles by spending time in prayer and through studying our Bible. Our fellow Christians are our team members, and together, our touchdown is at hand.
Our strength is assured through the power of our Father above.
