3 Calls to Worship from Psalms

English Audio Version

The modern thing is to Celebrate Us!

Cheer on the Things We’ve Done Right!

Whoop! Whoop! Let’s gather around for a party because We’re the Best We Can Be!

All that’s okay, but there’s a fly in the ointment, something that takes a little of the gleam off the chrome.

We can’t afford to forget that our success comes from God.

We find 3 Calls to Worship from Psalms.

Our 1st Call:

Psalm 66:4 says we are to recognize the Almighty as our source of strength, our position of power, and our reason for redemption.

“All the earth worships you and sings praises to you; they sing praises to your name.”

Let’s jump and cheer for our glorious King!

Our 2nd Call:

Psalm 95:6-7 tells us to kneel before God. Our place is under him, and we must concede his state of supremacy.

“Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand.”

When we fall to our knees, God lifts us up to stand by him.

Our 3rd Call:

Psalm 99:9 is our call to sing praises unto our Holy God, for he is eternally deserving of our fervent worship.

“Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at his holy mountain; for the Lord our God is holy!”

Join in a rousing hymn. Link arms with other believers. Let God hear your voice of praise.

Our praise starts in our hearts, but if it’s not seen on our face, it’s doubtful it’s there at all.

Excerpt of the Day

The more time we spend in the Word and in prayer, the more flavorful we will be to the needy around us.
