Parties can be fun.
The birthday sort, with cake and ice cream. Maybe music and games.
We can even have ours at the lake, with a boat, sunscreen, and burgers on the grill.
What about on the roof of a downtown skyscraper? Or inside an elevator?
One commercial on television turns a subway commute into a fantastic party with loud music and dancing. Can you even imagine such a thing really happening?
What about with polar bears … drinking red cans of soda? With Santa … riding a sleigh?
Are we getting too crazy? Have our imaginations gone wild?
Here’s how God says it in 1 Corinthians 2:9:
“Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, and which have not entered the heart of man, all that God has prepared for those who love Him.”
Okay, God, we can imagine a submarine with flashing neon lights and ELVIS! IN BLUE SUEDE SHOES! How’s that for a crazy party?
God says, oh, no. I’ve got things planned for you that’s far beyond that. You can’t even fit them into your brain, they are so fantastic. But, get ready, because you’re going to be there … at the lake … on the roof of a skyscraper … inside an elevator, if you want. I’ll include polar bears and Santa, and we’ll do it all in a subway … or in a submarine WEARING BLUE SUEDE SHOES!
And then, I’m going to open my bag of fantastic party favors, and we’ll really begin to rock.
Do you want a ticket to the party of the ages? It’s called salvation, and it’s yours when you let Jesus into your life and model yourself to become like him.
Join the party today!
