Turbocharged for Jesus

Naturally aspirated or turbocharged?

If you’re not a car person, you might need that explained. Naturally aspirated means running on ambient air. Using it as it comes to us without any help at all.

We are born, make it through life on our own, and we only find success in a bigger house, a faster car, and more bling than we can wear around.

We live in the natural world, chasing after the elusive prize of success, with no thought of life after death.

Turbocharging is on a different level. Our car (life) kicks us in the backside, and we are flung forward at breakneck speed. We are empowered to do more, do it faster and better, leave the competition in the dust.

That’s what our relationship with Christ is all about. He turbocharges our life, gives us a spiritual jumpstart toward glory, enables us to leave our worldly life in the dust.

Philippians 3:14 says:

“I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

We can’t win if we are running on plain air. We need a kick in the back of our pants, a boost from the starting line, that extra oomph that only a life lived with Jesus can provide.

Choose Jesus. Salvation in him is the turbocharger that will enable you to win the ultimate prize.
