Who’s looking down? NOT YOU!
Your eyes are on the Father, the God of all creation, the reigning King of all that was, is, and will be!
Heaven is your goal, your PIE IN THE SKY!
Whoa! Pie in the sky? Isn’t that an unattainable dream, something we can aspire to but is out of our reach?
For the rest of the world, that may be true. Heaven is a nice fairy tale, but that’s all it will ever be.
For the redeemed (That’s you, Christian!), heaven is our right by virtue of the promise of God! Let’s shout our praise unto the Lord!
Read along in 2 Corinthians 10:17-18:
“ ‘Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.’ For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.”
Rejoice! Jesus stands before his Father’s throne and says, “This little one is mine. He is here at my invitation.”
Wow! That should make your heart jump.
What’s the key? What makes our pie in the sky a reality?
That’s easy. Salvation. When we acknowledge Jesus as Lord, ask him to cleanse us of wrongdoing, and live by his example, we can cut our pie and eat it, too!
