God’s Travel Itinerary

English Audio Version

Several years ago, American Airlines needed to raise money fast. They turned to their fliers, the people who regularly filled the seats on their planes.

The company offered the AAirpass, an opportunity to fly first class with unlimited flights for one set fee.

The fee in 1981 was a whopping $250,000, plus an extra $150,000 if you wanted someone to fly with you.

Their latest offering in 2004 priced the unlimited pass at $3 million, with the companion pass at a hefty $2 million.

One flier traveled the world extensively, Paris for breakfast, London for lunch, and New York for a late supper, and more, racking up $21 million in flights according to American Airlines.

If you had an AAirpass, your travel itinerary was the sky, literally.

God has a travel itinerary already in place for his children.

1 Thessalonians 4:16  says:

“For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.”

Our travel notifications? We will hear a shout and the sound of the trumpet of God.

Our transportation schedule? The dead in Christ shall rise first.

The cost of our travel pass? We must be in Christ, our sins washed with the blood of the Lamb, and our lives lived according to the example of Christ.

Let’s get our bags packed. We’re traveling farther than any AAirpass has taken anyone on an American Airlines jet.

Get ready, eternity! Here we come!

When God returns for his own, we want to make sure we’re ready to go.
