Our Decision for Courage

English Audio Version

Comfort is knowing what to expect, and not stepping too far outside what we know.

It’s called our comfort zone, that place we feel most secure, because we’ve been there all our life.

There are times we need to broaden our experiences, get a new job, or break out of our social circle. We need to better our situation, so that we can improve our relationship with God.

We need the courage to no longer be comfortable, to live on the sharp edge of what our Christian life has to offer.

Ezra 10:4 reveals encouragement that comes from God above.

“Rise up; this matter is in your hands. We will support you, so take courage and do it.”

This verse comes from a passage about the repentance of the Israelites. They wished to make a covenant with God to renew their vow to serve him.

What has become of our vow to follow God, to keep ourselves pure before him, and to be an example of Christ before the world?

Let’s make a decision for courage, to return to the moment of our salvation, and to renew our enthusiasm for our Lord. Let’s live on the sharp edge of what being a Christian is all about.

Walking with Christ means taking chances. Our Lord will be with us along the way.
