8 Stands We Must Take for Social Justice

English Audio Version

Where do we stand for Christ?

Where do we draw the line that says, The Buck Stops Here?

Where does our responsibility take control of our plans, and we step up to do what needs to be done for others?

The Bible gives us 8 Stands We Must Take for Social Justice.

Leviticus 19:15 takes a stand on Equal Justice.

“You shall do no injustice in court. You shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great, but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor.”

Psalm 33:5 takes a stand on Showing Righteousness.

“He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord.”

Proverbs 31:8-9 takes a stand on the Rights of the Downtrodden.

“Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are destitute. Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy.”

Isaiah 42:3-4 takes a stand on Concern for the Mistreated.

“A bruised reed he will not break, and a faintly burning wick he will not quench; he will faithfully bring forth justice. He will not grow faint or be discouraged till he has established justice in the earth; and the coastlands wait for his law.”

Micah 6:8 takes a stand on Loving our Fellow Man.

“He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”

Matthew 5:9 takes a stand on being a Peacemaker in Conflict.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.”

Luke 4:18-19 takes a stand on Spiritual Freedom.

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.”

Hebrews 13:3 takes a stand on Prison Ministry.

“Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body.”

We can’t say we didn’t know. God has spelled it out in his Word.

Let’s be about God’s business. Let’s do our part for social justice for the world.
