Life can be a struggle.
Bills can be hard to pay, the money often running out before the month is done.
A lawsuit hits us out of the blue, and we can’t figure out where we went wrong.
We try to offer it to God in prayer, but we feel battered just the same. It doesn’t seem that our prayers are bringing any changes that we can see.
Maybe it’s time for us to give up and quit … scratch … I just yanked that record from the record machine!
Don’t even say that. It’s not what God has in mind for you. If you have any doubts of that, read this verse in Psalm 67:6 ESV:
“The earth has yielded its increase; God, our God, shall bless us.”
If it’s not clear already, let me lay it out for you. The earth has yielded its increase. God has already supplied your answer. The need you have; the lack you can’t provide; the lawsuit hounding your doorstep, God has already stepped in and started the resolution.
There is no need that the Christian has that God overlooks. We’re the ones who can’t see the eternal working of his hand. We’re the ones who “look through a glass darkly.” We’re the ones that are so blinded by the circumstances surrounding us that we let fear crush us into whimpering jelly.
This verse finishes with, “God, our God, shall bless us.”
Stand up and rejoice. Lift your hands in praise. Give him the thanks for the answers you haven’t yet seen, because the earth has already yielded each and every answer you require.
Your blessing is already at hand. Wait for it, wait for it, wait for it. It IS on the way.
