“Your greatest strength comes when you turn loose of your reservations.”
(Deuteronomy 31:6 ESV)
Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.
A reservation, by definition, is something we’re holding back.
In a restaurant, we hold a table for an arriving guest. Their reservation is a special place for no one else.
When we reserve our skills or desires, we hold them back. We don’t use them, and we don’t allow anyone else to, either. We hold them in reservation, many times because we dread the outcome if we’re unsuccessful.
God says to be strong and courageous. He will be with us. We can’t be afraid of success. If we want to find it, God will champion us, and He will be with us all the way.
When we turn loose, our reservations are no longer a noose to keep us from our upcoming success.
