Our Reward

“Watch closely, for if you can learn from the mistakes of others, then you can prevent yourself from making the same errors.”

(1 John 1:19 ESV)

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

History repeats itself.

What goes around comes around.

Be careful when you live in a glass house.

All these are true, but they don’t have to be. The truth is, each generation comes to the table anew, and we find the same old ways to stumble in our pursuit of survival.

History repeats itself when we don’t change our wrongdoing. What comes back to us is our reward for what we’ve done. Our glass house is fragile, and it can tumble down unexpectedly.

We can’t change on our own. Only through Christ can we find the strength to avoid the errors of the previous generation. Only through confession of our sins can we find salvation in Him.

Excerpt of the Day

What we pack is what gives us power. Let's pack the power of God so that others may come to him in truth and in power.
