God is the Almighty, the Kingmaker, the Creator of all things, and the Final Say in every question of life and death.
Proof, you say. Put some rock under your words.
You want proof? Okay, here are 7 Amazing Methods by which God Reveals Himself as seen in Job 26:7-13:
Amazing Method No. 1: “He stretches out the north over the void and hangs the earth on nothing.”
Amazing Method No. 2: “He binds up the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud is not split open under them.”
Amazing Method No. 3: “He covers the face of the full moon and spreads over it his cloud.”
Amazing Method No. 4: “He has inscribed a circle on the face of the waters at the boundary between light and darkness.”
Amazing Method No. 5: “The pillars of heaven tremble and are astounded at his rebuke.”
Amazing Method No. 6: “By his power he stilled the sea; by his understanding he shattered Rahab.”
Amazing Method No. 7: “By his wind the heavens were made fair; his hand pierced the fleeing serpent.”
These are all amazing and incontrovertible proof that we serve an awesome and all-powerful God. However, Job has yet another word for us that says God is not just all these incredible things – he is much, much more.
Job 26:14 tells us:
“Behold, these are but the outskirts of his ways, and how small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?”
Even when we describe the astounding splendor of our glorious God, we’ve only barely begun to approach his real majesty. He is more than we can imagine no matter how creative we are.
Let’s give it up to God. He’s the one who deserves our praise.
