Our Sacrifice for Good

What are we willing to give up to make our dreams come true?

For fifteen years, Sugar Todd’s parents invested their time and money to foster their daughter’s Olympic dreams to be a medal-winning speed skater.

At one point Todd’s father remained in his Nebraska hometown to work at his job as a firefighter, while his wife moved with their daughter a thousand miles away so she could train at the Pettit National Ice Center in Milwaukee.

Their sacrifices paid off when Sugar won a spot for the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic team.

The catch was that Sugar’s parents couldn’t afford to travel to Russia to see her perform. Her training had drained their resources until there was nothing left.

The Internet refused to see them miss their daughter’s performance and raised $5,000 in 24 hours to repay them for their years of sacrifice and send them on their way.

Luke 1:37 says:

“For nothing will be impossible with God.”

What sacrifices have you made? At what point have you thought God is asking too much of you?

Whatever you’ve given up, God will repay you. Your sacrifice for good is never wasted.

Place your trust in God. He will be there to meet your every need.

We already know the end of the story. Jesus rules, and the devil drools.
