God wants to launch you into deeper waters.
He has an ocean of goodness waiting for you to explore.
You may be stuck in the harbor, docked in your church pew, or even still under construction.
Perhaps you feel you are in the shipyard, high and dry, and the ocean of God’s promises seem too distant for you to even dream about.
You feel God’s oceans of goodness are for other people, those with no commitments, ones with the fortitude to be missionaries to the lost. You’re doing good to match your socks in the mornings, and sometimes you don’t even manage that.
God offers you the grease for your slideway. He wants you to launch into his goodness. It’s time for you to move from the shipyard and into the promises he has for you.
2 Peter 1:3 says:
“His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence.”
Read this like it says: He has granted us all things that pertain to life and godliness. All things, not just some things.
God’s good things aren’t just for other people. They are for you.
How do we grease the slideway of our Christian experience and get into the deeper goodness of the Lord? Through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence.
We get that knowledge through time spent in the Bible and in prayer. Let’s connect with God. Let’s get into his Word today.
When we open the Word, we open God’s blessings unto us.
