America is a now culture. We find it difficult to plant a seed and wait for it to grow. Instant coffee; microwaves; drive-thru meals. We want it now.
However, some things need to fully mature. Cut a green cantaloupe, and it is tasteless. Pluck a strawberry too early, and we will spit it out. An unripe banana finds difficulty going down.
When we let God have his way in our lives, and we are patient with his guidance, we will know the sweetness of our RIPE God.
Let’s look at our RIPE God:
R – He requires our labor, for the harvest is RIPE.
Joel 3:13 tells us the season is upon us. We are to labor for God, not the other way round. He is our master, and we are his servants.
I – He goes with us and gives us INCREASE.
Zechariah 10:8 tells us that not only will God bless his children, he will also bless those we come into contact with. The fullness of his INCREASE will overflow our storehouses, and others will know that God is with us.
P – He desires that we PROSPER in all that we do.
3 John 2 tells us that when our soul prospers, God will also PROSPER us in health and material wealth. Our first step is to draw close to the Lord, so that he can bless us in other ways.
E – He is the EVIDENCE of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1 tells us that in our faith we find the EVIDENCE of our invisible God. It is when we fully trust in him that he becomes real in our life.
We will know the majesty of God only when we become fully mature in him.
